Who hasn’t heard of Caesar salad? Surely all of us have eaten it at some time or at least we have been served or prepared some variant because everyone prepares it at home as they please.
Well, this time I’m sharing one of the versions we make at home that has nothing to do with the original, except for the use of Caesar sauce and lettuce. It is the Caesar salad with fruit, a delicious fresh salad with a combination of flavors that will surprise you.
I hope you like it and you are encouraged to try it because it is very rich. It’s not very light anyway, but for once, nothing happens!
Ingredients to make Caesar Salad with fruit:
- 1 lettuce
- 1 can of pineapple in its juice (small)
- 1 green apple
- 150 grams of Bacon in cubes
- 1 handful of sultanas
- 100 grams of Gouda cheese
- 1 handful of fried onion
- 2 eggs
- 100 milliliters of Caesar sauce
- 1 can of sweet corn
How to make Caesar salad with fruit:
We start by preparing the lettuce, and then we split it, wash it, spin it and reserve it. I usually use the heart of romaine lettuce and put a third or half if it is smaller.
We need boiled eggs, so we put them in a saucepan covered with water and put them on the fire for about 5 minutes until they start to boil. Remove from the heat, remove the hot water, cover with cold water and after a few minutes peel them. We booked.
On the other hand, we drain the corn and put it in our salad bowl. Wash and chop the apple, leaving the skin, and add it to the salad bowl along with the raisins.
We also cut the pineapple into small pieces and add it together with a tablespoon or two of its juice. This salad with Caesar sauce and fruit is a delight, so be sure to add any of these ingredients. Then we cut the cheese into cubes and put it together with the chopped eggs.
Cut the bacon into small cubes as well and sauté it until it is done and crispy, remember that you do not need to add any oil, since it will be done in its own fat. Drain the fat that has been released and add the bacon to the salad.
Finally, add the well-drained lettuce and add the Caesar sauce. We move very well until the ingredients are seasoned with the sauce and well mixed.
If you want to make the dressing yourself, you can follow the homemade Caesar sauce recipe, with step-by-step photos so you don’t miss a thing.
Lastly, and just before serving our Caesar salad with fruit, we add a handful of fried onions, mix again and enjoy this delicious salad!
