Ingredients to make Butler Potatoes:

  1.  600 grams of potatoes
  2.  250 milliliters of milk
  3.  50 grams of butter
  4.  1 onion
  5.  1 bunch of chopped parsley
  6.  1 pinch of salt
  7.  1 splash of olive oil
  8.  1 pinch of pepper

How to make Butler Potatoes:

  • To start with the butler potatoes recipe, first peel and julienne the onion. Next, place a wide saucepan with the butter over medium heat, and, when it is melted, add the onion and let it soften or become transparent and begin to brown a little. You must be careful that it does not burn!
  • Prepare the potatoes. To do this, peel and wash them, followed by cutting them to a thickness of about half a centimeter or so. The thinner they are, the sooner they will cook.
  • When the onion has a little color, add the milk, a little salt and pepper. Next, wash the parsley and chop a handful, add it to the pan and let it cook for a couple of minutes all together.
  • Add the potatoes and cook over medium-low heat until tender and cooked through. You should move the potatoes every 8-10 minutes, turning them over so that they cook on all sides. If they dry out, add more milk, otherwise the potatoes will stick. In addition, you must be careful that they do not break or stick to the pan
  • Trick: there should be some potatoes with sauce.
  • The potatoes will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on the potato used. Prick with a toothpick to see if they are tender, and, if they are tender, turn up the heat for a few minutes so that everything browns a little. Salt taste and rectify if necessary. Serve right away with a little sauce. What do you think of this potato stew recipe? Leave us your opinion in the comments.
