Ingredients to make Hamburger Bread:
- 2 cups of Water (480 milliliters)
- 1½ tablespoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- ¼ cup of Sugar (50 grams)
- 1 tablespoon of Sugar for yeast
- 3 tablespoons of Butter
- 2 tablespoons of powdered milk
- 2 tablespoons of glucose
- 1 kilograms of flour
- 2 units of Yolks
- 1 unit of Egg to varnish
How to make Hamburger Bun:
- The first thing you should do to prepare the hamburger bun is to dissolve the yeast in warm water. Also add a tablespoon of sugar and let it rest for 10 minutes to hydrate.
- In a separate container, mix the flour with the powdered milk, the glucose, the two egg yolks, the salt, the sugar, the butter and the water. It is important that the butter is at room temperature. You will have to mix until you can knead with your hands. After 10 minutes of yeast rest, add it to the mixture
- When all the ingredients have been integrated and you have homogeneous bread dough, make a ball and let it rest for 15 minutes. After time, cut the dough into smaller pieces, all the same size. With those pieces of dough we will make each of the loaves
- Knead each piece of dough for 5 minutes and let it rest for another 10 minutes. Then give it a round shape. You should try to make all the buns the same size so that the homemade hamburgers are perfect.
- Place each of the loaves on a previously greased baking tray; let them rest for 10-15 minutes to double their size. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 250ºC.
- Beat the remaining egg and varnish each of the hamburger buns with the help of a kitchen brush. Then, bake them for 30 minutes, until they’re done.
- When they are ready, remove them from the oven and you will have your hamburger bun
