Ingredients to make Bread Streamers:

  • 1 package of horizontal sliced bread
  • 3 cans of Tuna
  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 can of green olives
  • 6 slices of sweet ham
  • 6 cans of cheese
  • ½ cup of ketchup sauce
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

How to make Bread Streamers:

1 To prepare some delicious bread streamers, the first thing you should do is prepare all the ingredients. Keep in mind that the sliced bread must be special for rolling or cut horizontally, lengthwise; you can easily find this bread in supermarkets or ask for it in your trusted bakery.

2 Next, prepare the mixture for the bread streamers. For the tuna, mix the tuna with half of the mayonnaise, add salt and pepper to taste and cut the olives into slices. You can mix the tuna by hand or using a blender or a food processor. For the ham and cheese ones, mix the rest of the mayonnaise with the ketchup.

3 Spread out a piece of bread and carefully spread the tuna paste so that it covers the entire surface, then add olives along the bread. To make the ham and cheese bread streamers, spread the pink sauce on the bread and place the slices, first of ham and then of cheese, over the entire surface.

4 Carefully roll up the bread, starting at one edge and pressing down slightly. A little stuffing may come out on the sides, remember not to press too hard. Repeat these last two steps until you run out of ingredients.

5 Finally, wrap the rolls in transparent plastic wrap, press lightly but not excessively, wrap all the streamers. Keep in the fridge for at least two hours to harden a little, if possible leave it overnight.

6 The next day or after the minimum hours, take the streamers out of the fridge, discard the wrapper and cut into slices about 2-3 centimeters thick and enjoy! Serve these delicious bread streamers with Venezuelan cheese tequeños and some baked chicken croquettes to liven up a special party.
