FoodsDiary By FoodsDiary

Being a blue fish, bonito is a source of omega 3 fatty acids. Their loins, if they are well cut and cleaned at the fishmonger, are boneless. That is why it is an excellent fish to prepare in stews or in the oven. Learn how to cook this recipe for tuna with tomato in the oven through these simple steps that we present.

Ingredients to make Bonito with tomato in the oven:

  • 2 units of tuna loins
  • 3 units of tomato
  • 5 dessert spoons of Olivia
  • 5 basil leaves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of oregano
  • 1 jet of Oil

How to make Bonito with tomato in the oven:

  1. Here we have the ingredients for this bonito with tomato prepared in the oven. The fish has been cleaned for us at the fishmonger’s, in such a way that there are two boneless loins, which we have then cut into pieces. The tomatoes are better that are very ripe.
  2. Tip: Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  3. In a casserole suitable for the oven we spread the bonito loins and water them with virgin olive oil. Wash and cut the tomatoes and add them to the casserole with the tuna.
  4. Next, we coat the tuna loins with the olive paste. The olive pâté will add flavor to the fish. Add salt, oregano, bay leaf and basil leaves cut into pieces. Put the tuna with tomato casserole in the oven and let it cook for about 15 minutes at 180ºC.
  5. Remove the casserole from the oven and immediately serve the baked tuna with tomato.
  6. You can serve this fish dish with a dry white wine.
