  • 8 pen bags (approx.)
  • 8 tablespoons of powdered milk
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 liter of water

How to make Milk Balls:

  1. Add the powdered milk in the blender, the liter of water, sugar, vanilla and a pinch of salt, although this last ingredient is completely optional.
  2. Blend all the ingredients well until you create a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Little by little, distribute the mixture in each of the bags.
  4. To make this step easier, you can pour the mixture into a bottle by placing the mouth at the end of the bag and letting the liquid drip out.
  5. Do not fill the bags completely, leave a prudent distance to close them.
  6. To do this, take the bag from the top, just above the mixture, and start rolling to press the mixture, make it compact and the bag fully closed.
  7. After rolling up, proceed to tie a knotto close the bag.
  8. Trick: make sure that during the rolling and the creation of the knot the pressure is never lost, otherwise the ice cream will lose solidity when it freezes.
  9. Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 with each bag until you have a minimum of 8 boils of milk.
  10. Place the pens in the freezer carefully and let them refrigerate for about 24 hours.
  11. After 24 hours, the pens will be ready to enjoy and refresh ourselves. As you can see, the boli de leche recipe is very simple and you can always add an extra ingredient
  12. Tip: always keep the pens refrigerated, as they will melt if they are not constantly kept in low temperatures.
