Black rice with cuttlefish recipe

Ingredients to make black rice with cuttlefish:

  • 350 grams of rice
  • 2 black cuttlefish with their ink or 2 sachets of ink
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 liter of fish broth
  • 3 tablespoons of fried tomato
  • 1 splash of oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make black rice with cuttlefish:

  1. Clean the cuttlefish by removing the skin and all the dirt.
  2. Cut the legs to clean underneath too.
  3.  Once clean, dry the cuttlefish and cut it into pieces. This step in some fishmongers can do it for you.
  4. Wash and chop the green bell pepper into very small pieces.
  5. Do the same with the garlic.
  6. Add a good splash of oil to the pan that you will use to cook the black rice with cuttlefish and heat it over high heat.
  7.  Add the cuttlefish and sauté for a few minutes.
  8. Lower the heat to medium, set aside the cuttlefish and add the green pepper.
  9. When you see that the pepper is cooked, add the chopped garlic and mix all the ingredients you have in the pan.
  10. Add the fried tomato and ink, stir and mix well. If you need to add a couple of tablespoons of water to make it mix better, add them.

  12. Add the rice to the pot and stir.
