Black Pudding Canapé Recipe with Caramelized Onions

Today I share an easy recipe to prepare some original canapés with black pudding cream. The special touch will be given by the caramelized onion and the quail eggs, an elegant starter with an irresistible flavor.

Ingredients to make Black pudding canapé with caramelized onions:

  • 1 package of Base for canapé (volovanes, toast, etc.)
  • 1 pot of blood sausage cream
  • 1 package of quail eggs
  • 1 unit of Onion
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make black pudding canapé with caramelized onions:

1 To prepare these delicious snacks we will need a base for canapés. You can use the one of your choice, vol-au-vents, puff pastries or toasted bread. The amounts will depend on the units of canapé you want to prepare.

2 Bearing this in mind, we will proceed to make the caramelized onion. To do this, peel and cut the onion into rings, then fry it in a pan with a little sugar to make it comfit. Booking.

3 Then fry the quail eggs. Do it separately and make as many as canapés you want to serve.

4 Blood sausage paste comes in different flavors and you can find it in any supermarket. I have used black pudding paste with Cabrales, since the mixture with the blue cheese gives an extraordinary flavor to these canapés. Heat the pasta slightly in the microwave until warm.

5 With all the ingredients ready, what we have left is to assemble the canapés. To do this, fill each canapé with the black pudding paste, then place a tablespoon of caramelized onion and finish with the quail egg. You can add a touch of salt if you consider it necessary.

6 The black pudding and caramelized onion canapés are perfect to serve at parties and gatherings. They are very easy to prepare, elegant and original.
