Beetroot Canapes Recipe

If you want to draw everyone’s attention with impressive dishes, these Christmas appetizers are for you. It is a simple recipe with beet and peanut hummus, a gourmet combination that will surprise all your guests. Follow this recipe for Christmas step by step and present some colorful and delicious canapés.

Ingredients to make Canapés with beetroot:

  • 1 package of Base for canapés (wafers, vol-au-vents, tartlets, etc.)
  • 80 grams of cooked chickpeas
  • 1 unit of cooked beetroot
  • 10 grams of Parsley
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper
  • 100 grams of salted peanuts
  • 1 unit of Lemon (juice)

How to make canapés with beetroot:

1 Before you go you must have all the ingredients at hand. We have decided to work with chickpeas and beets already cooked to save time, but if you prefer, you can buy them fresh and cook them in the traditional way with boiling water.

2 As for the topic of the base of the canapés, we leave it to your choice, since the mixture of beet hummus with salted peanuts goes well on anything. We have used wafer cookies, but you can use toast, crackers or vol-au- vents.

3 To make the beetroot hummus, place all the ingredients, except the peanuts, in the blender and process until you obtain a homogeneous and smooth mass. Separately, lightly crush the salted peanuts.

4 Finally, assemble the beet canapés and enjoy. For an elegant touch, place the hummus in a piping bag to draw shapes as you place it on top of the crusts, and finish with the crushed peanuts.
