Beef Heart Stew Recipe

Ingredients to make Beef Heart Stew:

  • 1 beef heart(s)
  • 1/8 cup(s) white wine
  • 1/2 onion(s)
  • 1/4 cup(s) tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 1/4 cup(s) water
  • 70g bacon
  • 1 cup(s) mushrooms
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Beef Heart Stew:

  1. Wash very well and cut the beef heart into thin strips.
  2. Chop the bacon and onion finely. Melt the butter in a saucepan, fry the onion and bacon.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Coat the heart with flour and add it to the pot. Continue frying and stir from time to time. Once the heart pieces are golden brown, add the wine and water.
  5. Check the salt and let it cook in a covered pot over low heat for about 20 minutes.
  6. Add the tomato sauce and the mushrooms cut into pieces.
  7. Let cook about 10 minutes more. Serve accompanied by grained rice.
