Beans Stewed in Red Wine Recipe

Ingredients to make Stewed Beans in Red Wine:

  1. 200g red kidney beans
  2. 1 medium onion
  3. 2 cloves
  4. 250 gr. of shank meat
  5. 20 grams of butter
  6. 15 gr. Of flour
  7. 250 ml of red wine
  8. 1 glass of water
  9. Salt
  10. pepper to taste

How to make Red Wine Stewed Beans:

  • Soak the beans the night before.
  • Peel the onion and thread the cloves and cut the meat into cubes. In a saucepan, toast the flour in the butter as if we were going to make a béchamel sauce.
  • Add the meat to the mixture of flour and butter, the red wine and 1 glass of water. Add the onion with the two cloves, season with salt and pepper and leave to cook for half an hour.
  • When the sauce is thick, add the previously washed beans and cover with clean water and let cook for 2 hours.
  • In this recipe, if we make it in a pressure cooker, ½ hour of cooking the beans is more than enough. Let rest and serve immediately.
