Ingredients to make Battered Crab Sticks:
- 1 package of crab sticks / Surimi)
- 2 eggs
- 1 bowl of panko or breadcrumbs
- 1 bowl of flour for coating
- oil for frying
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make Battered Crab Sticks:
- Beat the eggson a plate and add a pinch of salt.
- Heat the oil to fry in a pan until it is very hot.
- Coat the crab sticksfirst in the bowl of flour, then with the beaten egg and finally with the panko or breadcrumbs.
- Panko is a thicker type of Japanese breadcrumb than the typical one we know, which makes the texture of food much crisper.
- Tip: If you use frozen crab sticks you have to let them defrost beforehand.
