Basmati Rice Recipe

Ingredients to make Basmati rice:

  • 1 cup of Basmati rice
  • 2 cups of Water (480 milliliters)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 jet of Oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Basmati Rice:

  1. The secret of a loose and soft basmati rice is in its preparation, so the first thing you should do is soak the rice in plenty of water.
  2. Meanwhile, boil water with the seasonings. Add the cinnamon, bay leaves and salt.
  3. Drain the basmati rice very well and rinse to remove excess starch. When the water boils, cook it in the traditional way, stirring from time to time.
  4. When the grain has reached the desired point, remove from the heat and drain the rest of the water. Keep the cinnamon stick and bay leaves inside the basmati rice.
