Baked squid gratin recipe

Ingredients to make baked calamari gratin:

  • 500 grams of calamari rings
  • 350 milliliters of Cheese sauce
  • 150 grams of green onion
  • 5 slices of whole wheat bread
  • 200 grams of mozzarella cheese
  • Butter
  • Milk cream
  • 1 pinch of Salt and Pepper

How to make Baked Calamari Gratin:

  1. Prepare the ingredientsto prepare these baked squid rings. The cheese sauce can be whatever you get in the supermarket or the one we have prepared in the Dutch cheese sauce recipe.
  2. Bring a frying pan over medium heat, add a little butter and fry the green onion. Make it slightly golden
  3. Separately, grease a casserolewith a little butter and add a slice of whole meal bread to the bottom. In total we will use 5 containers, one per diner.
  4. If you don’t have the typical clay casseroles to make the oven-baked squid gratin recipe, you can use any refractory or oven-safe pan.
  5. Next, bathe each of the casseroles with the cheese sauce.
  6. Return to the sauce and add the squid rings to the pan.
  7. Sauté the whole for about 5-10 minutes. Add salt and pepper to your liking
  8. When you have the soffit ready, distribute it evenly among the 5 casseroles, on top of the cheese sauce.
  9. To finish the casserole assembly, add more cheese sauce on top of the calamari stir-fry and give it the final touch with a good layer of grated mozzarella cheeseon top.
  10. Cook the casseroles in the oven at 150ºC. For about 10 minutes or so or until the cheese melts
  11. Serve the calamari gratin in the ovenvery hot, with the casseroles fresh from the oven and enjoy this dish as a starter. Enjoy your meal!
