Ingredients to make Baked Sardines with Potatoes and Onions
- 1 kilogram of sardines
- 4 medium potatoes
- 2 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 splashes of olive oil
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 1 pinch of pepper
How to make Baked Sardines with Potatoes and Onions:
- Clean the fish: remove the head, scales, bones and fillet. Leave the spine together for a better final presentation.
- Tip: Preheat the oven to 200ºC, 20 minutes before baking.
- Wash and cut the potatoes into slices and the julienne-style onions. Parsley and garlic, chop them very finely. Book all.
- Prepare a baking tray and spray its surface with olive oil. Arrange the potato slices to cover the entire source.
- On the bed of potatoes, add the onions, garlic cloves and parsley. Then, salt and pepper and add a drizzle of olive oil. Bake at 180ºC for 40 minutes.
- When the time is up, remove from the oven and place the dish on a board. Proceed to place the next layer on the bed of potatoes: the sardines. Place them face up; add salt, pepper and another splash of oil.
- Return the tray of sardines to the oven. Bake at 180ºC for 10 minutes. If the fish is very large, let it cook for a while longer. Check the cooking status of the sardines with potatoes before removing the tray.
- Once the time has passed, these delicious grilled sardines with potatoes and onion are ready to serve. If you want to accompany them with a side dish, I recommend white rice, black beans or a light salad
