Ingredients to make Baked Salmon with Soy Sauce and Sesame:

  • 4 fresh or frozen salmon fillets
  • 1 spring onion or leek
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 1 handful of green beans
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 30 grams of white or black sesame seeds
  • ½ lemon
  • 100 milliliters of soy sauce
  • 1 splash of sesame oil

How to make Baked Salmon with Soy Sauce and Sesame:

  1. Mix the squeezed lemon juice in a bowl together with a dash of sesame oil, the seeds, the grated ginger, the soy sauce and the minced garlic.
  2. Add the salmon loins and leave the fish to marinate for half an hour.
  3. Trick: Try to turn the loins so that they marinate on all sides if they are not completely covered by the liquid from the beginning.
  4. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  5. When the salmon is marinated, remove it from the sauce, place it on a baking tray and cook for approximately 10-15 minutes or until it is all pink and begins to brown.
  6. Tip: If you like your fish more done or browned bake it longer, but normally salmon should be cooked a little so that it does not remain dry, although the cooking time will vary from one oven to another.
  7. Meanwhile, pour the salmon marinade liquid with sesame and soy sauce into a saucepan, put it on high heat and let it reduce.
  8. When it comes to a boil, add the butter and integrate it perfectly with the baked salmon sauce with soy and lemon over low heat, stirring.
  9. Cut the vegetables into julienne strips and fry them in a pan with a little more sesame oil, salt and pepper to taste until al dente. If you prefer them to be healthier, you can bake the vegetables together with the salmon at the same time.
  10. Tip: You can replace the salt with a splash of soy sauce if you prefer.
  11. Serve the baked salmon with the soy and sesame sauce on top, the poached (or baked) vegetables and sprinkle with a few more sesame seeds.
