Baked rice with béchamel recipe

Ingredients to make baked rice with béchamel:

  • 250 g of cooked white rice
  • 50 g of white cheese
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 250 g of cooked chicken breast
  • 50g butter
  • 50g of flour
  • ½ liter of milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to make baked rice with béchamel:

  1. Put the butter over medium heat, and once melted, add the flour, stirring constantly until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  2. Pour in the milk and stir constantly until the mixture thickens. We put to the point of salt. In a mold that will go in the oven, we assemble the dish as described below.
  3. At the base of the mold, we put a layer of béchamel sauce, then a layer of the white rice mixture, cooked chicken breast in strips and a little grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. We cover this layer with crumbled white cheese and again grated Parmesan cheese and béchamel sauce. We repeat the layer of rice, the cheeses and the béchamel, once or twice depending on the amount we want to prepare or the size of the mold, and we finish with a layer of Parmesan cheese.
  5. Cover the mold or cover it with aluminum foil and put it in the oven for twenty-five minutes at 180ºC.
  6. Once golden, remove the upper part of the mold, let cool and serve presenting the dish in layers. It can be accompanied with hot tomato sauce.
