Ingredients to make Baked King Prawns with orange sauce:

  • 250 milliliters of Seafood broth
  • 500 grams of Prawns
  • 4 oranges
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 glass of white wine
  • 200 grams of cooked macaroni
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of white pepper

How to make Baked King Prawns with Orange Sauce:

  1. Before starting to make the prawn recipe you must prepare the ingredients.
  2. Remember that prawns must be cleaned before cooking.
  3. To do this, remove the veinthat they contain in the back, which is the intestine of the animal, and the shell that covers them.
  4. Save the peel to make the orange sauce.
  5. Bring the prawns to a bowl with the juice of an orange, pepper and garlic paste to taste.
  6. Take the container to the fridge or refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes so that the seafood marinates in the juice.
  7. While the prawns are marinating in the fridge, you can prepare the orange sauce.
  8. Then, in a deep pot, add the seafood broth, the orange juice, the white wine, the shell of the prawns, salt, garlic paste and pepper to taste.
  9. Bring the pot over medium heat for about 20 minutes, or until you notice that the sauce takes on a thick texture. Remove the preparation from the heat when it is ready.
  10. Pass the orange sauce through a strainerto remove the shrimp shells and have a finer sauce, as seen in the photograph. Reserve it to continue with the baked prawn’s recipe.
  11. Remove the prawns from the fridge, add a little salt and olive oil.
  12. Then, take them to a refractory resistant to the oven. Preheat the oven to 180ºC and, once hot, bake the prawnsfor approximately 15 minutes.
  13. Remember that you must watch them to avoid going over the cooking term.
  14. When the prawns are done, bring a frying pan over medium heat with the cooked pasta, the orange sauce and the seafood.
  15. Heat everything for a few minutes, without going overboard to prevent the prawns from overcooking
  16. Serve the baked prawn’s recipe with orange sauceadding a little Parmesan cheese to taste.
  17. I accompanied it with macaroni because I think it adds a sophisticated touch to the recipe.
  18.  But, if you prefer, you can serve the prawns in sauce without pasta and accompany them with white rice, for example.
