Baked fish with potatoes and cream

Ingredients to make baked fish with potatoes and cream:

  • 3 white fish fillets (I used hake)
  • 300 grams of potatoes
  • 200 grams of cream or milk cream
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • ½ lemon (zest and juice)
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 1 dessert spoon of sweet or hot paprika
  • 1 pinch of chopped parsley
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make baked fish with potatoes and cream:

  1. Wash the potatoes and chop them without removing the skin. Then, we put them in a pot, cover them with water, add a pinch of salt, cover and cook until it boils. You can use the variety of potato that you like the most.
  2. While the potatoes are precooking, place the cleaned fish on a baking tray, sprinkle with lemon zest, juice, paprika, salt, pepper and parsley to taste. Let it absorb the flavors.
  3. Once the potatoes start to boil, remove them from the heat, and place them on the tray with the fish or on another, depending on whether we want the fish with potatoes and cream to cook all together or not. Sprinkle the chopped rosemary over the potatoes and add a drizzle of olive oil. If we cook separately, we add the cream on the fish, and if we cook everything together we pour it over the preparation. Bake the fish at 180ºC for 15-20 minutes.
  4. As we have precooked the potatoes before, this time is enough. However, if we do not boil them in water, it will be necessary to cook the potatoes in the oven until they are almost done and add the fish with the spices and cream at the end of cooking, since this product requires little time to prepare . We serve the fish with potatoes and cream with an avocado, tomato and egg salad or with the ingredients that we like best.
