Baked chicken and vegetable skewers recipe

Baked skewers are a light and very easy dish to prepare, the combinations are endless and you can make them in different sizes depending on what you need: original appetizers or a main dish.

The skewers that we teach you to cook will be delicious chicken skewers to which we will add different vegetables to give color, in addition, we will marinate the chicken in a garlic sauce that will give the whole a very special flavor.

So, if you don’t really feel like spending the afternoon in the kitchen but still have a craving for something tasty, here’s the perfect recipe. Carefully follow the directions for the Chicken and Vegetable Kabobs.

Ingredients to make Baked Chicken Skewers with Vegetables:

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 Red Pepper
  • 2 green pepper
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 pinch of Cumin
  • 1 pinch of garlic salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 cup of whole milk

How to make Baked Vegetable Chicken Skewers:

In the following image you can see the ingredients that we will need to prepare these delicious chicken skewers with baked vegetables. Remember that you can add more vegetables to taste or use your favorites. To start we take a piece of the onion, the garlic clove, a pinch of salt, cumin, garlic salt and milk and place them in the blender. Then we proceed to blend until we obtain a homogeneous sauce, which we place in a bowl and reserve for a moment. Then we take the chicken breasts and slice them into small cubes  approximately 2 centimeters on each side.

Ideally, we can eat each piece of chicken in one bite, without having to chop it with cutlery.

Now we take our chicken cubes and marinate them in the sauce that we made a moment ago. Let this mixture rest for at least 15 minutes. Meanwhile we take the vegetables (red, green pepper and onion), wash them perfectly and slice them into cubes. These pieces should be about the same as the chicken pieces, about 2 centimeters on each side.

After the marinating time of the chicken we will proceed to form our skewers. For this we take the wooden or metal skewer rods, and we insert a piece of onion, one of red pepper and one of green pepper, we continue with a piece of chicken and we continue doing this until completing the entire rod.

Once all the skewers are ready, place them on the baking tray and bake for 20 minutes at 180°C. After this time we remove our chicken skewers with baked vegetables from the oven and enjoy.

These baked chicken skewers are perfect for parties and can be varied in size to serve as a main dish or as an appetizer. Remember that they are already marinated but you can accompany them with other sauces such as mango chutney or a rich yogurt and mint sauce. Bon Appetite!
