How to make Baked Battered Cauliflower:
We start the baked battered cauliflower recipe by preparing the breading ingredients. To do this, place the beaten egg with the coconut milk in a bowl and the breadcrumbs or panko in another. Likewise, we take a baking tray and line it with aluminum or baking paper.
Pass the cauliflower pieces first through the egg and then through the breadcrumbs. We are placing them on the tray. To make the battered cauliflower crispier, we recommend making a second breading. Separately, preheat the oven to 200 ºC. Bake the battered cauliflower for 15-20 minutes, or until we see that it is ready.
While it is baking, we take the opportunity to prepare the sauce . This step is completely optional, but it adds an incredible touch to the recipe. To make it, place all the ingredients except the starch in a pot and cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.
Dissolve the starch in two tablespoons of water and add it to the sauce to provide consistency and thickness.
When the orange sauce begins to thicken and take on a certain shine, let it reduce a bit and turn off the heat.
Serve the baked battered cauliflower recipe with the orange sauce and enjoy this exquisite dish. This is a much healthier way to cook cauliflower, since it does not contain any oil, and to ensure that the little ones also consume this food that is so beneficial for their development.
