Bacon croquettes recipe

Ingredients to make bacon croquettes:

For 4 people:

  • 1 onion
  • 100g lean bacon
  • 4 large tablespoons of flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 3/4 liters of milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • Bread crumbs

How to make bacon croquettes:

Sauté the onion in a little oil, once this pocha is added the bacon cut into small pieces and fry a little with the onion, then add the flour and cornstarch, mix with the above on a low heat and add the milk, stir everything very well until the flour dissolves and over medium heat, continue stirring until a thick mass forms that separates from the sides of the pan.  Once it is ready, pour it into a container and let it cool.

When cooled with a spoon, separate small portions and mold them by passing them through beaten egg and breadcrumbs. Once they are all empanadas, they are fried in very hot oil, and ready to eat.
