Auk hummus or auk cream is an original and healthy way to prepare a traditional hummus in a different way. In this case, we want to teach you how to make an auk paste recipe so that you can prepare this legume hummus and surprise the whole family, since auk beans are beans or red beans that have a sweet touch that we are not used to. Ingredients to make auk hummus:
- 1 clove garlic
- 300 grams of auk beans
- 1 teaspoon cumin grain
- 1 teaspoon of tahini
- 50 milliliters of olive oil
- 1 squeeze of Lemon (juice)
- Fresh parsley
- Salt
How to make Auk Hummus:
- The first thing we have to prepare the auk hummus is to soak the beans in a container with plenty of water to hydrate them, as is normally done with all dried vegetables.
- The next day, we drain the auk beans well and put them to cook. If we cook them in a pressure cooker with a little salt, they will take about 15 minutes, but if we do it the traditional way it will take a few hours, so I recommend that you cook the red beans in the pressure cooker and you will have the auk cream.
- Once cooked, drain the auk, peel and cut the garlic into slices and place everything in a blender or electric mixer.
- Then we add the squeeze of lemon, tahini, cumin, oil and salt to taste, and grind the auk paste to make this delicious legume hummus.
- We rectify the flavor with more lemon, tahini or salt, chop the fresh parsley, sprinkle it on top, add an additional teaspoon of oil if we want or a few sesame seeds and that’s it, our auk hummus is done.
