Assorted Salty Puff Pastry Recipe

Ingredients to make assorted salty puff pastries:

  1. 1 rectangular puff pastry
  2. Sobrassada
  3. Frankfurt sausages
  4. Fried salted almonds
  5. 1 egg yolk to paint

How to make assorted salty puff pastries:

We will put a little flour on the work table and spread the puff pastry on top.

•We will make long strips of 8 cm. wide that we will measure them with the help of a ruler. We will cut them.

• We will beat the egg yolk with a little water.

• We will cut the sausages in half and place them in the center of the strip. Fold the strip and flatten it a bit and unite the puff pastry by painting one of the sides with the egg.

• Transfer the roll to the oven tray lined with baking paper.

• With another of the strips, place the sobrassada in the center and wrap making a roll leaving a space to paint with egg and we finish folding. We will flatten a little.

• The last strip of puff pastry will be split in half and we will have two strips of about 5 cms. Wide each.

•Pass the two strips to the baking tray and cut them into 5 x 5 cm squares

•Paint the top with the beaten egg and place a fried almond in the center that we will sink well so that it sticks well to the puff pastry. The strips of sobrasada and Frankfurt we will mark them, but without cutting them completely. We will also paint them. We have preheated the oven to 190º centigrade at the top and bottom and bake for about 20 minutes, checking that they do not brown too much. Once the puff pastries have completely cooled with a serrated knife, we will finish cutting the puff pastries
