Arequipe puff pastry recipe

Ingredients to make Arequipa puff pastry:

  • 100 grams of puff pastry
  • 50 grams of Arequipe
  • 1 unit of Egg
  • 20 grams of sugar
  • 2 dessert spoons of flour

How to make Arequipa puff pastry:

  1. Before making the puff pastries, the first step is to get all the ingredients ready.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and with a round cutter make the desired shape
  3. Add a little Arequipa in the center of a circle and paint the edges with beaten egg. Then, cover the dulcet de leche with the second circle of puff pastry and glue the edges well to form the cupcake.
  4. Tip: The ideal is to use Arequipa that is a bit hard, as it is perfect for baking.
  5. Spread the cupcakes with a little beaten egg and sprinkle sugar over it. Bake the filled puff pastries at 170°C for 20 minutes.
  6. After the time has elapsed, remove them from the oven, wait for the Arequipa puff pastries to cool down a bit and enjoy them with a hot coffee, hot chocolate or a glass of cold milk.
