Ingredients to make Arab meat empanadas:

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 400 grams of chicken breast
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of ground white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 4 units of Tomato pear
  • ½ glass of water
  • ½ dessert spoon of Turmeric
  • 1 dessert spoon of Cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of ground cumin
  • 1 pinch of fresh ginger

How to make Arab meat empanadas:

We gather all the ingredients to make the Arab meat empanadas. Sauté the meat with a little olive oil and add salt and pepper. Move to separate the meat. Add the onion cut into small pieces and cook for five minutes.

Next, add the peeled and sliced ​​tomato and the tomato paste. Stir well and let cook for five minutes.

It is time to add the spices: we put the turmeric, the cumin, the peeled and chopped ginger and the cinnamon. Mix and let cook for three minutes. Add four tablespoons of water and move the preparation of the filling of the Arab empanadas. Finally, add the pine nuts and raisins. Move and let cook for three minutes.

Cut the puff pastry into individual portions, fill with the meat and cover with another layer of puff pastry. Brush each Arab empanada with beaten egg and bake at 180ºC for 15 minutes.
