Arabic Hummus Recipe

FoodsDiary By FoodsDiary

The original hummus recipe uses chickpeas as a base and adds garlic, oil, tahini, and spices such as ground cumin. We have added a few black olives that give this hummus with tahini a little more intensity, but if you don’t like them, you don’t have to.

Hummus is an easy recipe in which you only have to mix a few ingredients with the help of a blender, to enjoy an exotic flavor

Ingredients to make Arabic Hummus:

  • 300 grams of cooked Chickpea
  • ½ clove of Garlic
  • 1 dessert spoon of Tahini or sesame seed paste
  • 1 jet of olive oil
  • 6 units of black olives
  • 1 pinch of ground cumin
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1 splash of lemon juice

How to make Arabic Hummus:

We gather all the ingredients to prepare the Arabic hummus. Wash the chickpeas and drain them well. Place the chickpeas in a mixing bowl. You can also make this recipe with dried chickpeas. To do this, you will have to hydrate them with water for 12 hours and then boil them in plenty of boiling water until they are tender. Add the black olives, the garlic, a little salt, black pepper to taste and a little ground cumin.

Trick: Remember that so that the garlic does not repeat itself, you can remove the central stem.

Before we start beating, we add a teaspoon of tahini or sesame paste. You can make this homemade sauce by following the step-by-step tahini sauce recipe.

We beat the Arabic hummus with the help of the blender, adding a little olive oil and lemon juice to taste. The Arabic hummus can be accompanied by a little sweet paprika on top along with olive oil.
