  • 6 apples
  • 60 grams of butter
  • 150 grams of brown sugar
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry

How to make apple tarte tatin:

  1. Prepare the caramel before starting to make the cake.
  2. To do it, use a dish or casserole that you can later put in the oven and that is a bit high.
  3. Introduce the sugar and butter into it and heat over very low heat so that, little by little, they dissolve. Stir with a wooden spoon to speed up the process.
  4. While the caramel is being made, peel the apples, remove the core and cut them into quarters.
  5. Remember that to make the apple tarte tatin the most recommended variety is the golden one.
  6. You’ll know the caramel is ready when it’s a toasty brown color, but not too dark.
  7.  At this point, place the apples on top of the caramel with the rounded part facing down, putting them as close together as possible and leaving no gaps between them.
