Apple Rice Recipe

Ingredients to make Apple Rice:

  • 2 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 cups of long grain rice
  • 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
  • 2 1/2 cups of water
  • 1 1/2 cups unpeeled green apples, chopped
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 3 tablespoons cilantro

How to make Apple Rice:

  1. In a cauldron or pot, heat the olive oil and fry the onion with the garlic until golden.
  2. Add the rice and nuts and cook a few minutes.
  3. Add the water and cook until dry.
  4. Cover and reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes.
  5. Uncover and add apple and cilantro, mix well.
  6. Cover and cook 5 minutes.
  7. Serve followed by whatever you like.
