Apple Foccacia Recipe

Ingredients to make Apple Foccacia:

  • 250 grams of wheat flour
  • 25 milliliters of olive oil
  • 175 milliliters of Water
  • 5 grams of salt
  • 8 grams of fresh yeast
  • 10 grams of refined sugar
  • 100 grams of green apple
  • 30 grams of Almonds
  • 10 grams of Cinnamon powder

How to make Apple Foccacia:

  1. Make a volcano with all the dry ingredients and in the center add the activated yeast in warm water and sugar. When the ingredients are integrated, add the olive oil and continue kneading until you obtain uniform dough. Add the chopped almonds to this mass.
  2. Let it rest until it doubles its initial size.
  3. Place the dough in the mold previously greased and floured, or covered with non-stick paper and press toward the bottom of the mold with your fingers to remove the gases from the dough without losing size. Sprinkle refined sugar mixed with cinnamon powder on top.
  4. In a frying pan, sauté the green apple(without skin and cut into small cubes) with cinnamon until tender.
  5. Place the apple on top of the dough and cover with refined sugar mixed with cinnamon
  6. Bake the sweet focaccia for 20 minutes at 180°C and serve.
