In this article we propose a new version of this delicious and sweet dessert. It is an apple and banana tarte tatin that you are going to love. At least at home this tarte tatin with banana lasted less than a caramel at the door of a school, and that with these amounts we got two identical easy banana tarts.

Ingredients to make apple and banana tarte tatin:

  • 1 shortcrust pastry sheet
  • 1 unit of Banana
  • 1 unit of Apple
  • 1 unit of Lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of Butter
  • 4 tablespoons of liquid caramel

How to make Apple and Banana Tarte Tatin:

  1. We ready the ingredients that we are going to need to prepare our original tarte tatin with banana.
  2. Peel the apple and the banana and slice them as thinly as possible.
  3. We will add a little lemon juice on top to make sure they do not oxidize while we prepare the rest of the recipe.
  4. In a saucepan, heat a little liquid caramel over low heat, which will act as a caramelizer for the fruitsand as a link between them and the base of the shortcrust pastry for the tarte tatin.
  5. Meanwhile, we take the opportunity to stretch the dough for the easy banana pie with the help of a rolling pin and a little flour so that the rolling pin does not stick to the sheet.
  6. We cut the optimal portion for our mold, and arrange the dough on it, making sure that it is well distributed around the edges.
  7. We make a rim to the doughso that we have a crunchier part with the banana tarte tatin.
  8. Chop it with a fork so that nothing rises during baking.
  9. Once we have done this, surely the caramel is already hot enough to be even more liquid but without the risk of burning.
  10. So we add the fruit and butter, and let it caramelize for five more minutes, always over low heat.
  11. Remove from the heat for a couple of minutesto warm up before arranging the apple and the caramelized banana on the dough.
  12. We heat the oven to 200º C.
  13. Bake for about 40-45 minutes until a crust has formed with the caramel and the dough is well cooked.
  14. Then we wait a few minutes before unmolding and presenting our apple and banana tarte tatin. Take advantage!
