American coffee
Ingredients to make American Coffee:
- ½ piece of Lemon (the rind)
- ½ piece of orange (the rind)
- 4 pieces of Clove grains
- 1 pinch of Cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons of cane sugar
- 4 cups of very strong coffee
- 1 cup of Cognac
How to make American Coffee:
- To prepare the American coffee you will need a stainless steel saucepan, not enamel. Introduce the rinds of half a lemon and half an orange into it.
- Add the cinnamon, cloves, sugar and a few drops of water to the saucepan. Then, put the saucepan over low heatuntil the sugar has completely dissolved.
- When the sugar has dissolved, add the cognac, flame and pour in the coffee. Let everything integrate well and serve the American coffee in ceramic cups and accompany it with chocolate or vanilla tea cookies.
