American banana cake recipe

Ingredients to make American Banana Cake:

  • 3 eggs
  • 3 very ripe bananas
  • 100 milliliters of olive oil
  • 75 grams of white sugar
  • 75 grams of brown sugar
  • 225 grams of pastry flour
  • 1 teaspoon of chemical yeast
  • ½ teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon powder
  • 100 grams of Walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons of dark chocolate chips

How to make American Banana Cake:

  1. To make our banana and walnut cake we must start by turning on the oven at 180ºC. Hot up and down.
  2. Having this ready, we begin to prepare the dough by beating the eggs with the two types of sugar for a few minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. In another bowl we sift the flour with the cinnamon, chemical yeast and bicarbonate.
  3. Add the oil to the bowl where we have the eggs and sugar beat for a few seconds and add the dry ingredients. We mix gently.
  4. We mash the bananas with a fork; remember that it is very important that they are ripe so that our banana bread has the right texture. We incorporate them into the mix, together with the chopped nuts and the chocolate chips.
  5. Now we mix with a spatula or kitchen tongue until we achieve a uniform mass.
  6. We grease a rectangular plum cake mold, I use grease spray, with an excellent result. Pour the batter into the mold and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  7. Cook the banana and walnut cake in the oven for 35 minutes or until we insert a toothpick and it comes out clean.
  8. Let cool on a rack and then you can unmold to enjoy a good piece of the American-style banana cake.
