Aloe Water

Ingredients to make aloe Vera water:

  1. 1 aloe leaf
  2. 1 lemon
  3. sweetener of your choice
  4. 300 milliliters of drinking water

How to make aloe Vera water:

  • In order to start processing the aloe leaf, wash it very well in potable water. Eliminates all impurities and dirt. It is important that you make sure that it is the aloe Vera variety, as some varieties of aloe are toxic for human consumption.
  • Once it’s clean, you want to remove as much alone from the leaf as possible. Alboin is a very toxic substance that gives the aloe latex its yellowish color and characteristic odor. For this, cut the bottom part, then the tip and, at the end, also remove the sides with the thorns. Do all this with a very sharp knife.
  • Put the leaf in a jar or container with drinking water and let it rest for 24 hours.
  • After 24 hours, remove the leaf from the water, which will have a somewhat dark color.
  • Wash it again and remove the skin from the blade on the concave or straighter side. Be sure to remove all the skin very well, as it may contain some traces of alone.
  • Now, with a spoon or with the same knife, delicately extract the crystal from the aloe Vera. It is preferable that you leave a few millimeters of the glass attached to the skin, so you make sure not to leave traces of it or latex.
  • Clean the glass with drinking water and check very well that it does not have skin particles.
  • It is time to prepare the aloe Vera water. The approximate proportion is two tablespoons of aloe Vera per 250 cc of water, that is, a full glass.
  • Take the water and the glass to the blender. The sweetener and lemon juice are optional, but if you want to give it a more palatable flavor, both are great options. In any case, it’s up to you. You can also try other citrus fruits such as orange, grapefruit, and tangerine.
  • Now you can enjoy all the benefits of aloe Vera water! Of course, we recommend you prepare only what you are going to consume at the moment. If it spends time in the fridge, it may ferment. The rest of the glass can be stored in the fridge, well covered, for about 5 days.
