Ingredients to make Almond Coquito:
- 1 can of coconut milk
- 1 can of coconut cream
- 1 can of evaporated milk
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 cup of Almonds
- 2 teaspoons of almond extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 pieces of Cinnamon
- 1 cup of rum
How to make Almond Coquito:
- The first thing we have to do is gather what we will need to prepare the coquitos with almonds.
- Now we are going to blend the ingredients. Although the order does not matter, we are going to start with the heaviest ingredients. In this way, we place the almonds first.
- Then we added the condensed milk and the coconut cream.
- Immediately, we added the coconut milk and evaporated milk. Subsequently the ground cinnamon.
- Now we are going to add the essence of almonds to enhance the flavor of this ingredient.
- And finally we add the rum, which is, without a doubt, the most characteristic ingredient of the Puerto Rican coquito.
- We proceed to blend all the ingredients of the almond coquito.
- Part of the process of coquito with almonds is to let the drink cool in the fridge. Before filling the container we put a piece of cinnamon.
- Cover the glass container and refrigerate. When serving the almond coquito we can decorate the plates with cinnamon sticks and laminated almonds.
