- 1 pinch of thyme
- 1 glass of white wine
How to make Seafood Bisque:
- The first step in making our bisque recipe is to pre-list the ingredients.
- Take a deep pot over medium heat and add a little olive oil. Add the red onion in large pieces.
- Once the onion takes on a transparent color, add the celery and the red pepper or paprika. Let sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the hulled tomatoes without seeds, it is very important to remove the seeds since they make the preparation a little more acidic. Add a little garlic paste to taste.
- Add water to the preparation until the entire content is covered. Add salt, pepper, bay leaf and thyme to taste. Let cook for about 20 to 30 minutes and turn off the heat. Blend or process our base until all the ingredients are integrated.
- Once you liquefy our base cream, take it back to a pot. If you wish, you can pass the mixture through a strainer to achieve a finer consistency.
- Cook over low heat and add the fresh basil leaves to give a special touch to the seafood bisque.
- Meanwhile, cook over medium heat, in a separate pan and with a teaspoon of butter, the seafood mix. Sauté briefly without exceeding 5 minutes.
- Add the sautéed seafood mix to our bisque and add the heavy cream. Let it simmer for about 10 more minutes.
- Serve the seafood bisque with croutons or fried bread. You can also add a little Parmesan cheese to taste and a little cream to decorate the dish, which will be a perfect starter for a special gathering.
