Lentil soup recipe to combat the cold

Ingredients to make lentil soup to combat the cold:

  • For 4 people:
  • 1 carrot
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 300 grams of lentils
  • 100 grams cured ham
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 leek
  • 50 grams alfalfa sprouts
  • Water
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt

How to make lentil soup to fight the cold:

  1. Cook the lentils in the slow cooker. Clean the vegetables (1 spring onion, leek and carrot) and chop them into small squares.
  2. Add them to the pot, season and close the lid. Let cook for 5 minutes, from the moment the steam begins to come out.
  3. When they are cooked, crush them with the blender and reserve in the pot.
  4. Finely chop the other spring onion and garlic. Saute in a frying pan with a little oil.
  5. Chop the ham and incorporate it, add the alfalfa sprouts. Briefly sauté and pour over soup.
  6. Mix gently and transfer the soup to a tureen. If the edges are stained, clean them with kitchen paper.
