Ingredients to make Banana Fufu:
- 4 green bananas
- 1 lemon
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 3 tablespoons of seed oil or lard
- 1 pinch of freshly ground black pepper
How to make Banana Fufu:
Peel the green bananas and cut into slices. Put the green banana slices in a saucepan covered with water, a little salt and squeeze a few drops of lemon juice. Put on the fire and cook until the banana pieces are soft. It will take you about 40 minutes or something more. Peel the onion and garlic cloves and chop finely.
Heat the seed oil or a piece of lard in a frying pan. When hot, fry the onion and minced garlic cloves.
Drain the banana slices, but do not throw away the cooking broth, you will need it. Put the slices in the pan together with the onion and the garlic cloves and fry for two minutes, stirring from time to time.
