Ingredients to make Celery Soup:
- 3 or 4 slices of bacon, about 45 grams
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 cups of chopped onion
- 5 cups of meat broth
- 1/2 cups potatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cups of the white part of celery, finely chopped
- 2 to 3 teaspoons of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 3/4 cup light cream
How to make Celery Soup:
1. In a pot, fry the bacon until completely browned to remove the fat.
2.Bacon is removed, fat is left in pot.
3. Add the butter and onion to the pot and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
4. Add the broth, potatoes, celery, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, cover, put over medium heat and cook for 40 to 45 minutes or until the potatoes soften and thicken a little.
5. When it is going to be served, it is brought to a boil, the cream is stirred and removed from the heat.
