Bacon Cabbage Soup Recipe

Ingredients to make Bacon Cabbage Soup:

  • 250 grams of bacon, chopped
  • 425 grams of canned tomatoes, with their juice and chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth, or as needed
  • Salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cabbage, sliced ​​very thin
  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed

How to make Bacon Cabbage Soup:

1.Place the bacon in a pot. Cover and cook over medium heat until evenly browned. Drain off excess fat.

2.Add the potatoes, tomatoes and enough chicken broth to cover everything. Season with salt and pepper.

3.Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until potatoes have softened.

4.Add the cabbage and cook for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
