- 150 grams of flour
- 500 grams of milk
- 150 grams of Cabrales cheese
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
- 1 unit of Egg
- 100 grams of sweet apple
- 100 grams of water
- 1 handful of fresh parsley
How to make Cabrales cheese croquettes with sweet apple:
1.To make these Cabrales cheese croquettes, place the oil and flour in the Thermomix glass and cook at speed 1 for 5 minutes. Then, add the milk and program the machine for 4 minutes, at 100ºC and speed 4.
2.Once the time has elapsed, add the Cabrales cheese and program the Thermo mix again for 3 minutes, at 100ºC and speed 4. Remove the dough obtained from the glass, spread it out on a tray and store it in the refrigerator overnight.
3.The next day, form the Cabrales croquettes, coat them with the breadcrumbs, pass them through the beaten egg and dip them in the bread again. Then, heat plenty of oil in a frying pan and, when hot, fry the homemade croquettes over medium heat until golden brown.
4.When they are ready, place them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil. Meanwhile, you can prepare the sauce for the Cabrales croquettes. To do this, place the clean apple jam and the water in the glass of the Thermo mix and blend for 10 seconds at speed 4.
5.Then, program the machine for 4 minutes, at maximum temperature and speed 1. When the sauce is ready, pour it into the dish where you are going to serve the appetizer and over it the Cabrales croquettes with Thermo mix.
6.If the flavor of the Cabrales cheese seems too intense, you can replace it with another type of softer and creamier cheese. The same happens with the sauce, you can change the apple candy for quince jelly, for example.
