In this case we will mix fish and shellfish and the result will be a delicious and refreshing cod and prawn ceviche, you can’t miss it!
Ingredients to make cod and prawn ceviche:
- 1 unit of cod loin
- 3 units of prawns
- ½ unit of red onion
- 1 lemon unit
- 1 unit of chipotle chili
- 1 pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 jet of olive oil
- 5 sprigs of coriander
How to make Cod and Prawn Ceviche:
1 The first step to make this ceviche will be to get the ingredients ready. Clean the fish very well, removing the skin and bones and peel the prawns. Also chop the fresh cilantro and onion finely.
2 Cut the fish and prawns into small pieces, about 2-3 centimeters approximately and reserve in a bowl.
3 To make the ceviche marinade, add the lemon juice, cilantro, onion, chili, salt and pepper to the bowl. Mix all ingredients well.
4 Cover the bowl with cling film and keep in the fridge for at least two hours. This will cause the fish and prawns to ‘cook’ with the lemon acids.
5 After this time you can serve the cod and prawn ceviche. Drizzle with a little oil and decorate with lemon and coriander. Accompany with crackers or toasted bread and if you like Peruvian food, check out the recipe for the Peruvian ají de gallina and the famous huancaina potatoes.
