In this recipe we bring a delicious option, a wrap of curry chicken strips where we are going to make some very simple and easy accompaniments, ideal for you to take this lunch to the office since it can be eaten cold. We are going to see the step by step and the ingredients of this delicious and simple wrap recipe.

Ingredients to make Chicken Curry Wrap:

  • 1 unit of boneless chicken breast
  • 150 milliliters of Yogurt without sweet
  • 1 teaspoon yellow curry
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 20 grams of fresh basil or mint
  • 10 grams of fresh coriander
  • 4 leaves of fresh lettuce
  • 4 units of flour tortillas
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 2 units of medium white onion
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Chicken Curry Wrap:

1 Our first step to make the chicken wrap recipe is to match the ingredients of our recipe.

2 Cut the chicken breast into medium strips and place them in a bowl or container.

3 Add the yellow curry and cumin powder, mix very well until the ingredients are integrated.

4 Add the garlic paste, fresh basil or mint, and cilantro. Mix well so that the ingredients of our wrap recipe are well distributed.

5 Add the yogurt and mix the ingredients well, take it to the fridge or refrigerator and let it marinate for approximately 30 minutes.

6 We are going to make some caramelized onions for our chicken wrap. Then, we must cut the white onions very thin, removing the tips of these.

7 Take a pan over medium heat and add a little olive oil and add the onion in feathers. We must bear in mind that the onion contains natural sugars, which will make it caramelize on its own, anyway we are going to add a little sugar to speed up this process.

8 Add the sugar (one teaspoon) to speed up the caramelization process of the white onions when you notice that they have turned transparent. You must be very aware of the onions and not put them on a very high heat, as they can burn and become bitter.

9 Once you notice that the onions take on a caramel color, they will be ready and you must remove them to be able to use them later in our recipe.

10 Remove the chicken from the fridge or refrigerator, add salt and pepper to taste.

11 Bring a pan to medium heat and, once hot, add a little olive oil and then the marinated chicken.

12 We are going to prepare the base of the wraps. Thus, we must take the tortillas to a table and add a fresh lettuce leaf as seen in the photograph.

13 Add some caramelized onion on top of the lettuce leaves.

14 Once the chicken curry is cooked, add about three strips to each of the wraps as shown in the photo.

15 Roll up the chicken curry wraps very tightly and exerting pressure so that they do not open at the time of plating our recipe and we will be ready to serve.

16 Cut our chicken wraps in half or diagonally, what I wanted to show in the photograph is the filling of the recipe. Add a little sauce from the cooked chicken to each of the wraps and a little sesame powder, they are ideal to consume hot or cold and are an excellent option for any meal.
