Bagnat bread is a classic recipe of Mediterranean cuisine. This sandwich is original from the south of France and consists of a sandwich stuffed with tuna accompanied by multiple ingredients. Bagnat bread is ideal for sharing at a family gathering.

Ingredients to make Pan Bagnat:

  • 1 unit of baguette bread
  • 20 grams of white onion
  • 2 slices of red tomato
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 100 grams of canned tuna
  • 3 units of black olives
  • 1 tablespoon of Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon Mustard
  • 4 units of Pickles
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Bread bagnat:

1.Before making the pan bagnat, the first step is to get all the ingredients ready.

2.In a bowl, make the vinaigrette by mixing the olive oil with the vinegar and the Dijon mustard.

3.Cut the bread in half, remove a little of the filling and spread the mustard mixture on both slices.

4.Arrange the lettuce leaves, the two red tomato slices, and the shredded tuna, julienne onions, the olives cut into strips and the pickles, sprinkle a pinch of salt. You can also include some anchovies if you like.

5.Finally close the pan bagnat and enjoy, a tuna sandwich ideal to consume at dinner time. And if you like special sandwiches, you can try the Monstecristo sandwich or the vegetable with egg.
