Ingredients to make Melon with ham:

  • ½ unit of ripe melon
  • 10 slices of Serrano ham
  • 1 pack of wooden skewers
  • 1 handful of mint leaves

How to make Melon with Ham:

1.As you can imagine, making melon skewers with ham does not have many complications. The first thing you have to do is peel the melon and cut bite-size pieces into trapezoid or cube shapes. Remember that in this recipe the most important thing is the presentation, so try to make all the melon pieces the same.

Tip: You can use cantaloupe or Gallia type meón, the sweeter and juicier the fruit, the more evident the contrast of flavors will be.

2.To prepare the pieces of ham, take slice by slice and form a roll. The idea is that there are cylinders of ham left. If the slices are very wide you can divide them in two lengthwise.

3.Finally, fold each ham roll on itself and stick it with the wooden stick on the melon. The account must be one roll of ham for each piece of melon.

4.Serve a tray full of melon skewers with ham and decorate with fresh mint leaves. This Christmas appetizer can also be served in summer when it is very popular.
