Ingredients to make Whiskey Shrimp:
- 2 tablespoons of Butter
- 1 piece of small onion finely chopped
- 500 grams of peeled shrimp
- 2 pieces of peeled and chopped tomatoes
- 1 small cup of whiskey
- 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of ground black pepper
- 1 pinch of Parsley
How to make Whiskey Shrimp:
- Melt the butter in a pan and add the chopped onion. Let it fry until tender, but not browned.
- Add the shrimp and tomatoes, cook over low heat for two or three minutes, stirring frequently
- Add the whiskey, lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. Cook over low heat for two to three more minutes.
- Tip: Whiskey can be substituted for white wine.
- Season with salt and drizzle the whiskey shrimp quickly over sliced toast or white rice.
