How to make Stout Pie:
- The first step to make this black beer cake is to preheat the oven to 180ºC, place the beer in a pot and melt the butter without letting the mixture boil.
- Let the mixture cool down.
- Tip: If you want to speed up the cooling process, you can place the pot in a cooler place in the house.
- To continue making the black beer cake in a bowl, place all the solid ingredients: flour, cocoa powder or Nesquik, brown sugar and baking soda, and stir everything to mix well.
- Next, we mix the 150 grams of cream with the 2 eggs and the vanilla essence and stir well until we obtain a homogeneous cream.
- Then we mix the creamfrom the previous step with the beer and the melted butter that will already be cold so that the black beer cake takes that taste.
- Then we mix this preparation with the solid ingredients that we had already mixed and we will obtain the dough for theblack beer cake.
- Next, line a cake panwith butter and then with flour, so that the Guinness cake comes out easily once baked. You can also use parchment paper to cover the mold.
- With the oven preheated to 180ºC, pour the dark beer cake dough into the mold and bake it for approximately 50 minutes or until you see that when you poke the center with a toothpick, it comes out dry.
- After 50 minutes, let the black beer cake cool. Don’t worry if the cake has darkened and the top looks almost burnt.
- It’s that it has to stay that way but anyway, then it’s decorated with frosting so it’ll be perfect.
- While the Guinness tart is cooking, we make the cheese frosting.
- To do this, on the one hand we mount the cream with the help of some rods and an electric mixer and on the other, we mix the icing sugar with the cream cheese.
- Then we put it all together with enveloping movements and a kitchen tongue so that the cream does not come down.
- Finally, we decorate the black beer cakewith the cheese frosting to taste and we can enjoy it whenever we want.
- You will see how well the flavor of beer combines with cream cheese. You will love it!
