Apple and pear inverted cake recipe

Ingredients to make Apple and Pear Upside Down Cake:

  • 1 grated pear
  • 1 apple
  • 240 grams of self-rising flour
  • 150 grams of sugar (¾ cup)
  • 2 units of egg
  • 50 cubic centimeters of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder or chemical yeast
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 small glass of sunflower oil

How to make Apple and Pear Upside Down Cake:

  1. To start making our apple and pear inverted cake, we must place 110 grams of sugar, eggs and oil in a bowl.
  2. Beat for 3 minutesto unify the ingredients
  3. Add the zest of a ripe pear, without the shell, and half of the self-rising flour together with the baking powder.
  4. Mix with a fork for 3 minutes to combine the ingredients for the pear upside-down cake.
  5. Add the milk,the vanilla essence and the remaining flour.
  6. Beat for 3 minutes with a fork or whisk, to incorporate air into the dough of our inverted pear cake and make the sponge cake very fluffy.
  7. Peel and cutthe apple into medium slices that we will later use in our apple and inverted pear cake.
  8. Tip: If you want to get an even more caramelized sponge cake, you can sprinkle sugar over the slices.
  9. Grease and flour acake or cake pan.
  10. Sprinkle the base of the inverted pear tart mold with the remaining sugar from the recipe and arrange the slices in it.
  11. Trick: If you have some slices left over, you can place them on the sides.
  12. Pour the mixture into the cake pan and bake in the oven at 180°C for approximately 45 minutes or until we see that when we prick our apple and inverted pear cake with a toothpick, it comes out dry.
  13. Once ready, remove and let cool in a cool place for approximately 40 minutes. Unmold and turn around.
  14. And you already have this delicious apple and pear inverted cakeready!
