Baked Gluten Free Donuts Recipe

Ingredients to make Baked Gluten Free Donuts:

  • ½ cup almond flour
  • 8 dessert spoons of tapioca flour
  • 1 dessert spoon of gluten-free baking powder or chemical yeast
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 small egg
  • 8 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey)
  • ¼ cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

How to make Baked Gluten Free Donuts:

  1. In a bowl we mix the dry ingredients: almond flour, tapioca flour, salt and baking powder. This is the base of our gluten-free baked donuts.
  2. In a bowl we mix the other ingredients: the egg with the maple syrup, the milk and the melted coconut oil.
  3. Trick: Coconut oil solidifies at temperatures above 23ºC so you have to melt it before hand on the stove or in the microwave.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ones and stir well until you get uniform dough. You will see that this gluten-free donut dough is similar to a cake or sponge cake dough, which is why it is not compact or moldable as it is with the traditional one.
  5. With the help of a pastry bag we fill the molds for homemade donuts (greased with coconut oil) with the dough. We put them in the oven previously preheated to 190 ° C for 12 minutes.
  6. Trick: Fill the holes in the molds up to 2/3 parts of their capacity with the dough so that they do not come out in the oven
  7. We take out the tray with the molds and wait 5 minutes before unmolding the freshly made gluten-free baked donuts to cool on a wire rack.
  8. Baked gluten-free donuts are ready! Accompany them with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and you will see what a delight.
