- 1 splash of olive oil
- 700 grams of minced meat to eat
- Wheat flour
- 1 dessert spoon of Provencal herbs
How to make Beef Stew in Sauce with Vegetables:
- The first step to prepare our meat stew will be to make the base sauce. To do this, we chop the onion and carrots and put them to sauté in a casserole with olive oil.
- In the meantime, we can start preparing the veal, so we degrease it, cut it and flour it well.
- When the sauce is ready, we remove it from the casserole and set it aside for a moment. Then, in that same casserole with oil, we seal the meat until it is browned on all sides. If necessary you can add a little more oil.
- When the meat is ready, we will transfer it to a larger pot where we prepare our beef stew with vegetables.
- Then, place a pot on the fire and mix the meat with the brandy, stir with a wooden spoon so that the flavors are integrated.
- Immediately afterwards we incorporated the sauce that we had reserved along with the vegetables cut into small cubes. Stir well and keep cooking for about 2-3 minutes.
- After this time we added hot water to cover everything. It is important that the water is hot, otherwise the meat may be tough.
- We season our beef stew to taste by adding salt, pepper and Provencal herbs. We keep cooking over medium heat for about 50-60 minutes until we check that the meat and vegetables are tender.
- Herbs de Provence are a blend of spices that typically include rosemary, oregano, thyme, basil, and lavender.
- Do not forget that you can modify the texture of this rich beef stew in sauce, making the sauce more or less thick. Serve it very hot and enjoy a warm dish to share with the family.
